Parish Mission StatementWe are a diverse, spirit-led Roman Catholic community in the Archdiocese of Saint Boniface. We welcome all to listen to the Word, to pray, and to know, love and serve the Lord. Our faith is centered on our regular celebration of the Eucharist. As a family of God we seek to deepen our personal relationship with Jesus Christ and grow as a faith community in a spirit of evangelization by engaging our members in works of ministry founded on prayer, faith formation, hospitality, social justice principles and acts of service.Through spiritual, physical and financial resources, we are committed to promoting a strong and stable ''family life'' within our parish; as well as empowering, inspiring and mentoring our youth to become strong Christian adults who will witness and carry on the work of Jesus Christ in the church and in the world.Submitted by the Parish Pastoral Council after deliberation and prayer.
Augustine United Church was founded in 1887 and moved into its present building in 1903. It was once a large, active Presbyterian congregation of mainly middle- and upper-income families living south of the Assiniboine River. In its heyday, the sanctuary, including the balcony, was filled several times on Sunday for multiple worship services. In 1925, many Presbyterian churches, including Augustine, joined with Methodist, Congregationalist and Union Churches to form The United Church of Canada.

Since 1916 Harrow United Church has been a centre of community activity and a place of Christian worship, nurture and service. From its beginnings as the Sunshine Hall on Arbuthnot, offering a place for children and youth in the growing Crescentwood neighbourhood, to its present incarnation on the corner of Mulvey and Harrow, the congregation has always had an outward focus, looking for ways to make a difference in the community and the wider world. Nowadays, we have the opportunity to do that in a multitude of ways. You can participate in our virtual community or in our ''in-the-flesh'' community. Or both. Either way, we invite you to experience Christian community, to grow in compassion, and to discover how you can use your gifts to bless the world.

Lighthouse Mission is primarily a soup and sandwich kitchen, serving the immediate needs of Winnipeg's less fortunate. As a registered Canadian charity and Christian humanitarian agency, we partner with organizations, churches, businesses and individuals to provide emergency relief in the form of food, clothing, prayer, spiritual guidance, and friendship to the homeless, and otherwise less fortunate, inner-city community of Winnipeg, in such a manner that conveys the value of those in need.Lighthouse Mission is unique in that, everyone is welcomed through our doors. Whether or not our friends are high, drunk or have previously been violent with us, they are welcome at Lighthouse and to our services. We believe God's heart is most reflected in our unmeasured forgiveness, love and grace toward the broken, hurting, and desperate people who come to us for help.
