An enjoyable experience. Used to be hit or miss with customer service a couple years back but now every time is wonderful. Very helpful and friendly staff and always the supplies on hand I need. On the off chance it's not, it's ordered in. Store is bright, clean, and organized. Excellent sister store to Green Barn.

An authentic ceramic art collectible from Clayworks by Heather Goldminc, Canadian artist, Heather Goldminc, has created a body of work to please the eye and delight the senses. Her extraordinary designs express the joy of life in simple everyday things. All pieces on this page were made from Heather's original art and hand-painted just for you.
I started taking pottery lessons in high school at the Willistead Manor Coach House in the early 70's. With money I earned selling functional pottery I bought my first wheel and kiln while attending high school. In 1980 I graduated from Sheridan College School Craft & Design with a Ceramic's Major.
Teaching many children's clay classes over the years has inspired me to make ornamental clay animals and learn new project ideas such as clay whistles. The functional pottery I do is inspired by the needs of my family for durable, chip resistant pottery that can withstand being microwaved and put through a dishwasher. It is very important to me that my work be affordable and that I also have products on the table that would interest children and be in their price range.
'Chosin Pottery is owned and operated by award-winning, internationally known ceramic artists Robin Hopper and Judi Dyelle. It is the exclusive destination for purchasing or ordering their work. Located on the Southern end of Vancouver Island. The studios are set in the beautiful, much publicized, two and a half acre, Japanese-inspired garden. The Gallery and showroom are part of a renovated heritage house dating from the turn of the century. The grounds contain one of the finest stands of first-growth Douglas fir in the Victoria area. The majority of the work is wheel thrown, but there is also a selection of unique handbuilt forms.
