As Toronto grew westward in 1910, the Reverend Gilbart Agar, pastor of Howard Park Methodist Church advised the Methodist Social Union to 'plant' a church in the Bloor/Windermere area. Early in 1912 the Social Union opened a tent church on the sand hills in the community which later became the village of Swansea. The people of the area responded enthusiastically and a more permanent accommodation became necessary. Howard Park financed the purchase of a lot on the corner of Windermere and Mayfield Avenues. A portable church was brought in and erected almost overnight. In early March 1914, a terrific windstorm swept the community while the evening service was in progress. The building outlasted the service but collapsed around 1:00am. Parts of the portable church were found several blocks away and hymn books were discovered in the snow as far south as the Swansea Public School. Within a week the congregation met and decided to move and build a more permanent structure.
As Early Childhood Educators, our role is to guide, nurture, discipline, facilitate and encourage children as they grow and learn. We ensure that children have opportunities to explore and develop their own interests at their own pace. These practices in turn build children's self–esteem and self worth. Our responsibility is to be empathetic towards children and their parents. We are genuine, honest and respectful.
The aim of Orde Day Care Centre is to provide a stimulating program that enables the child to develop emotionally, socially, intellectually, creatively and physically. Each child is given the opportunity to work on self-chosen tasks in an attractive environment especially designed and equipped to meet the child's needs. It is hoped that this, along with daily routines, will instill a sense of independence, responsibility, and self worth within the child. Each child is a unique person whose individuality is to be respected and encouraged. This individuality is fostered through our commitment to an inclusive anti bias, environment. Various role models are made available to the children through many mediums including, literature, creative arts, dramatic play, music, etc.

They are constantly growing and developing and it seems that if you look away, then look back that they have grown another inch or reached another developmental milestone. Peer-reviewed research shows that the kinds of experiences children have early in life will have an impact on how they learn and behave when they are older. Our goal at Network Child Care Services is to ensure each child has an enriched learning experience. We mean it when we say, Your child is our first priority

Great private school in Toronto. Both my son and daughter attended Hudson College and it was a very rewarding experience. They both benefited from the smaller class sizes and teacher attention that they were not receiving in the public system.Read more
Ola Day Care is a New Licensed Establishment conveniently located within walking distance to the subway and in the heart of Roncy. Our staff is committed to providing and guiding the children to develop to their full potential. We, at Ola Day Care, believe that the first five years of a child's life are the most important and the developments during these years are essential for future success. We are committed to providing high quality care in an educational environment; exposing the children to a stimulating curriculum and allowing them to develop at their own pace. Our curriculum includes child-directed activities such as exploration, sensory play, science, literacy, cognitive development, and small and large motor activities. Our program emphasizes the need to achieve the child's learning experience through play. All of our activities are developed from this basic philosophy. The Piaget's theory methods encourage this idea: Children learn by observing what happens when they interact with materials and other people.
