I don't think you can go wrong with that place. I went there for my birthday, best service I had and how great to enjoy the melody of the piano in the background. The filet mignon was great and I can't wait to try the oysters and hopefully I get lucky enought to sit on the roof top patio during summer!

Yaletown Brewing Company was one of the first restaurants involved in the revitalization of Yaletown and the fact that they're still here has got to tell you something. They make good food and, since they are a brew pub, they make great beer. Like all the other Mark James Group restaurants they offer the cheap beer and pizza nights that my family and I enjoy so much but quite often we head here for all the other great items on the menu too! If you can't decide which beer you want to try ask the server for one of their tasting flights where you get four different beers to sample. The location is outstanding and they have a lounge on one side and restaurant on the other so if you just want drinks and appys after work they are a great spot to choose! Last time we were there I had the Jakarta bowl with lamb tenderloin in a soy sauce with peppers and it was outstanding, My folks were with us and they swore by the fish and chips as well. One other cool thing that Yaletown does is if there is a game on at Rogers Arena they offer shuttle service to the game. So go on down to Yaletown Brewing Company and check them out!

I have been to a number of Keg restaurants in Canada and the US and The Keg Granville Island is the best of them all. It has the best food, the best servers, the best ambience. (Not, however, the best service - but great servers.)

I visited West with a friend that had been there a couple of times before. The outside of the restaurant was very unassuming. You would have no idea that there was a fantastic restaurant inside. Parking may be an issue as it's a busy streetfront but they did seem to have valet. We sat at the bar and had cesars until our table was ready--made fresh with muddled tomato right in front of our eyes. The food was all amazing both in appearance and taste. REALLY good. I would definitely eat here again!

We arrived a little late for without reservations, but the restaurant had a table and seated us immediately (was a full house).
My dinner companion ordered a glass of wine (sauvignon blanc) which was delivered promptly. I had Shiraz.
We ordered the salade. The salad was crisp, fresh with crunch toasted walnuts, sweet roasted beets, and tangy raspberry viniagrette. The prawns were fabulous, seared tender and sweet, prepared with lemon butter, tomatoes and capers.
Our entrees were the New York steak and she ahd salmon. Both were very good, prepared just right with a light charred crust.
Did not stay for dessert, as we were out of time and had other commitments (hotel reservation) and a curfew.
Our server was attentive, without being intrusive, and very helpful with explaining the menu choices. Unfortunately, he was a he.
Room was dark, clean, lots of wood tones... room is a little packed, but acceptable because the darkness assured privacy.

They don't leave you enough room to tell ur story. Bottom line, I had a complaint. The manager dealt with it in an exemplary fashion, and then, continued to go above and beyond. I had the rack of Lamb. It was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. There are limited options in this neck of the woods. It's a bit pricier than the average place around here. But, the meals are worth it. I'm leaving as a very satisfied customer. I will be back.

Like the Sawmill on 170st very much. My favorite visit was a beautiful hot day, eating King Crab on the patio. This place does a great steak as well. Highly recommend!

The Keg has always had a special place in my heart. The atmosphere and service is spectacular and the food is to die for. From the soft, warm buttered bread they give you before ordering, to the steaks and the decadent desserts, be prepared and come with an empty stomach. The pricing might be above average, but once in a while never hurts and it's completely worth your money. I go every year for my birthday and then some!
