Many times, life is really challenging. You are often awake at night, wondering how to handle all the pressures. Your emotions swing wildly, with more down than up. Fears churn through your mind, and you cannot shut them off. Tears surge up at odd times, and you are pulled down by the heaviness in your chest. Or, you have a lot of conflict in a close relationship. Your spouse, your boss, whoever it is, the strife and negative feelings are so frustrating and draining. You know you need help. This time, you cannot fix things on your own, no matter how hard you try. And seeking help is ok. After all, if we have problems with our physical health, such as a broken arm, we know it is fine to go to the doctors with expertise in that area. If we have difficulties in our emotional or relational health, it is also valid to go to the doctors with expertise in treating those problems. And getting help shows your courage. It shows that you want to face these challenges, and to overcome them and grow.

I am a certified Canadian counsellor and utilize a holistic approach to counseling through a specific type of therapy called EMDR. I have successfully used EMDR therapy with clients dealing with emotional disturbances caused by challenging past traumas including childhood abuse, sexual violtations, grief, losses and death, and negative core beliefs.
Symptoms may show up as anxiety, depression, anger, sleep disturbances, and low self-esteem. If you are suffering from any of these symptoms or issues, processing the trauma memories through EMDR can often successfully remove these symptoms.
I provide a caring and compassionate approach and look at healing the body/mind/spirit rather than just looking at the symptoms themselves.

My name is Greg Hofmann, I provide counselling for individuals and families in Kelowna, BC Canada. My approach to therapy is interactive and relational. I strive to create a comfortable and supportive atmosphere where difficult issues can be addressed. When people feel supported and understood; they are often more able to face challenges. I also help clients become more aware of the obstacles which prevent them from leading more satisfying lives. Sometimes that may involve exploring past experiences and relationships or it may involve learning new coping skills.
My passion is to empower clients to stop reliving the relationships and experiences that no longer serve them so they can realize their true potential - at work, within their communities,
and in their personal and family lives.
