John Bus Garage is a family business located on County Rd. 11, just west of Orangeville. John Bus Sr. bought the land in 1968 with his wife Aafke, after moving to Canada from Holland.
When John Bus moved to Orangeville, he first worked at Broadway Sales, a Ford dealership that was located on Broadway. He and his wife first built the house on the property they had bought then the shop. It took his father three years to build the garage before finally opening.
With in a month, Bus Sr. hired two extra mechanics to help with the work, He simply couldn’t keep up with the demand himself.
John Bus Garage does general maintenance and repairs. Through the years they have also branched out to selling and servicing tractors,and now today sell commercial and residential Cub Cadet snow blowers, lawn & garden equipment as well as generators and other small engines.
