Improperly cared for trees can be hazardous, while well-maintained ones can increase the value of your property. George Amos Tree Care in North Vancouver offers professional aboriculture services such as tree pruning, tree removal, stump grinding, hedge cutting, and more to keep the trees on your property well-cared for.
I would highly recommend George Amos! We needed some pruning and cabling of a large 50ft tree on our property and considered several companies for the job. George stood out immediately, and it was an easy choice to pick him over some of the larger companies that came by. He was friendly, super knowledgeable, and above all, honest! He did a great job and I would definitely hire him again. He really loves trees, and isn't trying weasel more $ out of you. All around great arborist, and great guy! Read more

Housed in the historic Dominion Grand Hotel (est. 1899) in Gastown, this pub was renovated in 2007 and retains its original tin-stamped ceilings, exposed brick walls, stained glass windows and railings. The rest of this storied room has been given a grand renovation, including a new sound system and jukebox, classic pub furniture and flatscreen TVs. A long-time favourite Vancouver watering hole, the Lamplighter is the city's busiest pub for good reason: friendly service, honest local pub fare and a large selection of craft beer and cocktails.
At PiDGiN, we see no need for distinctions between casual and fine dining. A restaurant can be both beautiful and comfortable; cuisine can be at once delicate and approachable. As dining perspectives have changed, so too has the line between east and west. Our experiences travelling and working in various continents is reflected in our food, bar, and even on our walls.
The four of us had a wonderful meal. We ordered 8 dishes to share and that was maybe one dish too many. We tried the kale salad, sweet potatoes, bacon pizza, burrata toasts, tortellini, meatballs, cavatelli and clams with mussels. It was all very good. The service was friendly and excellent. Huge wine menu from reasonably priced to the high end. Our ordered was taken by iPad and it was cool how she was able sequence the dishes out. Nice modern decor with a tasteful bird scheme of course.
