Dr. Lee Titterington, who is eager to meet members of the local community. ''I have been impressed with the strength and vitality of the congregation,'' said Titterington.'' Their dedication and cooperation provides a firm foundation for the many outstanding programs offered at the church,'' he continued, ''The vacation bible school this summer was a tremendous sucess and a new group has formed to coordinate the Food Depot. The church has adopted new watchwords for the coming year: 'Reaching forward to what lies ahead' (Phil 3:13). ''This has installed parishioners with a renewed engergy for our many outreach programs,'' stated Rev. Deacon Helen Hunter. ''The Food Depot for Winnipeg Harvest is just one of so many outreach programs. We also have a companion parish in Ugand,a support the efforts of the Primatés World Relief and Development Fund, and work in the area of social justice, amont other initiatives,'' continued Hunter.

Diagnostic Learning Centre - This program provides short-term observation, diagnosis and explicit individual instruction in reading, writing and word study, along with the development of teaching and learning strategies related to Language Arts, organization and independence. These strategies are then presented to each student’s school team for transfer to the classroom setting. The target group of students is in grades three to six. The program is available to any student in the Winnipeg School Division who is referred by the home school and who meets the admission criteria. DLC classes are housed at Ashland and Wellington Schools. During the year there are four sessions of eight weeks each. Students attend either a morning or an afternoon session, spending the rest of the school day in their regular school classrooms. Programming can be provided in either English or French. French Sessions are offered at Ashland School as needed.

Ryan retired his athletic career in 2003, after competing in over 160 bouts.
