At Scholars Education Centre Barrie, we provide individualized tutoring services for students of all grades and ages. Our teaching staff is comprised of Ontario Certified Teachers and qualified mentors that cover all subject areas: English, French, Math, Physics, Calculus, Biology, Science and more! At Scholars we utilize an Ontario based curriculum and pride ourselves on working in a low teacher to student ratio to better cater to the needs of each individual student that we work with.

UCMAS is a child development program based on Mental Math and the Abacus that boosts brainpower in children aged 4-13. Along with strengthening math skills, the UCMAS approach promotes whole brain development and establishes foundational building blocks like memory, concentration, creativity and problem solving – core skills that inspire greater confidence and success in all subject areas and in life. The program equips them with the skills they need to improve overall academic achievement and to confidently meet life’s challenges and achieve greatness. I have a passion for creativity and sharing my knowledge of crochet. I have a love of teaching others how to tap into their creativity and I am eager to share this with others. I offer an evening class and a daytime class for a course that currently runs for 4 weeks in small intimate sessions of up to 6 students. I also offer and advanced beginner course for those who are looking to learn more. I would be willing to teach workshops, attend Brownie and Girl Guide units to help with textile or creative badges, attend retreats and schools. As years have passed, we have less time for creative outlets and less time to be tought such endeavours by our elders. My goal is to ignite a spark in a younger generation to carry on creative traditions and provide an outlet for creative needs.

Gatrik Education is primarily a tutoring center for high school students who would benefit from an alternative learning environment. Our mission at Gatrik Education is to foster a safe and inclusive community which celebrates spirit, diversity, and success for all. We are proud to offer educational programs that are different from the traditional classroom setting. We have a very small teacher to student ratio and offer plenty of opportunities for small group discussions with our tutors. We work hard to ensure that our students achieve academic success, and are supported by all staff to be their best.
