They took excellent care of a loved one and showed a lot of compassion at her passing. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We were constantly kept informed of any changes etc to medications or any other treatments. The home is clean and the staff seem very friendly and happy there, telling us they enjoyed their job and the work environment. We highly recommend this nursing home for your loved ones too.

Belvedere Heights is a 101 Bed Long Term Care Facility located on Belvedere Avenue overlooking beautiful Georgian Bay in the Town of Parry Sound. The Home is operated and maintained by a Board of Management for the District of Parry Sound West in co-operation with the Province of Ontario Ministry of Health. It is the aim of all staff to support everyone in an atmosphere of harmony, family life and friendship. Belvedere Heights provides varying levels of assistance with the activities of daily living for the seniors who reside here including an area, that provides a secure environment for the cognitively impaired elderly. Two Belvedere Heights provides basic, semi-private and private accommodation. We are members of the Ontario Association of Non Profit Homes and Services for Seniors. Belvedere Heights also administers Community Support Services which is a non-profit organization made up of volunteer supported programs provided by the Ministry of Health consisting of wide range of services. Belvedere Heights believes that services must be designed from our client's perspective, be easily accessible, promote wellness, andsupport the clients' right to participate in andreceive courteous, quality services in an environment of self determination with a sense of security and fulfillment. A lot of creativity and skills they managed to create their costumes: a reindeer, a Christmas tree, a sled, a big gift package and of course, Santa Claus was the special guest.The children were really surprised when they met the volunteers dressed up and after few minutes they started to go to them taking some sweets and asking for a picture with Santa Claus.The event was really successful, the children were happy to have the party in their school with the volunteers who came back to their childhood for a morning.
