OK Ethiopian Association Ethiopian Association in the Greater Toronto Area and Surrounding Regions is non-political, non-profit, independent, community-based organization that provides settlement and social services to people of Ethiopian origin and others since November 1980. After its incorporation as a Not-for-Profit and Charitable Organization in 1981, it has greatly expanded its programs and services, diversified its work-forces, and enhanced its outreach activities. The Association is committed to facilitate the full participation of all persons of Ethiopian origin in the social, cultural, and civic life of Canada, and to the preservation and promotion of their rich and diverse cultural heritage. The Association's programs and services are provided without discrimination on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, age, ethnic origin, creed, political affiliation, religion, physical or mental disability. At present, it is estimated that the Association represents 45,000 to 50,000people of Ethiopian origin in the Greater Toronto Area and Surrounding Regions.

The original Naval Veterans Association received a Federal Charter in 1919, but because the Association terminated its activities in 1925, the charter expired in January 1929. The present Naval Club of Toronto was established in February, 1935 under a Provincial Charter and continues the role of the original organization to this day. The purpose of the club is to promote fellowship among its members, maintain naval customs and traditions, and perpetuate the memories and deeds of those who gave their lives while serving in the Naval Service of Canada and its Allies. Membership is open to all upon submission of an application and approval by the Membership Committee. There are 3 classes of membership: - Naval Member - any individual who is or was a member of naval services, marines, coast guard or merchant marine. - Associate Member - any individual who is or was a member of the regular or reserve armed forces, who is or was a Navy League Cadet Officer or who is a former Sea Cadet. - Social Member - any individual without the above naval or military affiliation who wishes to support the aims and activities of the club
