Honestly, I would never write, but having had had almost the exact same meal as the reviewer who most recently posted, I could not resist from arguing the opposite! The pierogis were amaaaazing! JUICY and DELICATE and FULL of stuffing. And the price? Well, considering there are so many pierogis in one serving, and may I say, HOMEMADE pierogis, I feel that they are more than affordable. This leads me to my next point: the schnitzel. Again, a homemade, VEAL schnitzel- just melted in my mouth.... and even more so in my husband's mouth, considering he ordered it. And, in response to the other reviewer, the schnitzel is surely made of high quality veal! We had the pleasure of talking to the owner about it and she was sweet enough to tell us all the details about what it takes to prepare it. I'm telling you, it's just so difficult to find a great, healthy restaurant with homemade food in Toronto. I would recommend Amber to anyone looking for some good quality ingredients and great taste. Found service was excellent and staff very friendly and informative. Even with Covid I believe and lockdowns they were doing their best. Too bad we were not able to take advantage of the atmosphere at this time. I will be back.

I love this place! Whenever I am near the market and I am in the mood for a quick lunch I go here. You pick your container of lettuce and then pile on whatever veggies/cheese/protein you like. (The deal is 3 veggies/1 cheese/1 protein). And add sunflower seeds or croutons and dressing of your choice. I love it cuz I can customize the salad to what I want and not a set combination. My usual is romaine w/broccoli, celery, carrot, avocado, feta, and chicken with oil and vinegar dressing.
The veggies are always fresh and the people working there are always friendly. They also give a packet of melba toasts with each salad.

I really liked this place because the food tasted different than the normal restaurant (kelsey's, jack astors etc.) The mushrooms were SO YUMMY! I got the grilled veggetable burger and it was good but I would get the veggie burger next time. My bf got it and I had a bite and it was super yummy! He got fries with his and those were really good too! I love crispy Big cut fries!
