As residents of the North Shore, we also understand the importance of contributing to a healthy and prosperous community. Over the years we have been pleased to be very active in our local community through our scholarships, sponsorships, charitable donations to the Family Services of the North Shore and many on-site events like our annual Toy Drive.

The North Shore Disability Resource Centre (NSDRC) provides programs and services based on the belief that all people are important to their community.The North Shore Disability Resource Centre directly serves over 450 individuals through our residential and community based programs. Our Information and Advocacy Program received over 1,000 calls last year and provides programs and services to people with disabilities, their families, friends and networks on the North Shore. We make every effort to ensure that their voices are heard, and that they are supported to participate in their community as fully and independently as possible.

Modern medicine has excelled in the fields of infectious disease and emergencies in the last 100 years. Although, in the treatments of chronic and degenerative diseases, it is mostly control that it aims for, which is another name for palliation. Conventional drugs, surgery and radiation do little to reverse the disease.
