I had a wonderful server, she was polite, and knew how to add that little something to make my day. The best server is Hailey. She was prompt with bring out the food and drinks. With out being to prying she discovered that I was down about spending my birthday alone. She gathered her team mates and sang me happy birthday. Now I am not saying everyone likes to be sang to on their day; but Haily knew what to do. I am a big fan of East Side Merios.

I had heard terrific things about Domani, a restaurant run by a former pro footballer from Afghanistan who has worked at some of Toronto's top restaurants, and had to come down to High Park and see for myself.
The service was very courteous, prompt, and personal. At no point did we even have to ask for anything because it was already taken care of.
The food was exquisite, well-presented and skilfully prepared. The portions were large but despite being quite full it was too delicious to leave any behind. The desserts were absolutely amazing, though next time I would do without the espresso.
Though Domani requires a bit of a journey, I have not eaten anywhere in Toronto where gourmet food of this quality is available at such a reasonable price and accompanied by such excellent service.

I've been to Brownstone's several times now, and it's always a good experience. Friendly staff, and good food. Their brunch gets busy on Sundays, and deservedly so, but we were able to make a reservation the night before for our not-so-small party. The banana and Nutella pancakes were delicious, but topped with syrup, were a bit rich for my delicate stomach. Good fresh orange juice. The decor is lively and interesting, though sitting near the front door can be drafty in cool weather.
