We originally hired Yorkshire Timber Wise to fix some falling down fence posts and 2 side gates that had been poorly constructed by a previous installer. Andy was so great. From the moment he came out to do our quote, we knew that this was someone with superior knowledge, experience and work ethic that we could trust to do a good job. And we were right. He and his team were so efficient and professional that we had them back the next week to replace our rotted, sagging backyard fence. Again, they went above and beyond, even trimming back some cedar hedges so that they wouldn’t be pushing up against the new fence. We couldn’t be happier with our beautiful new fence, knowing that our backyard is now completely safe for our kids and that we paid a very fair price for the exceptional work that was done. The Capilano Suspension Bridge is great family fun. The central part of this attraction is of course the bridge itself. 80 metres above the Capilano River it is often gut-check time to head out on the bridge and take a look over the side as it sways with the other visitors or, worse, the breeze. There isn't much to worry about but it is an exhilarating experience nonetheless. Beyond the bridge there is another equally exhilarating experience in the Treetops Adventure. Picture being high above the forest floor and going from tree to tree on a series of suspension bridges and getting to rest on platforms attached to the trees. Very cool. They have a great gift shop and lots of opportunities to learn about the history of the bridge and the first nations history in the area. A great deal for local residents too is that you can buy an unlimited membership good for a year for the same price as regular admission.
