Maverick Training Center is much more than a gym or martial arts academy. We are a multipurpose training facility specializing in Combat Athletics, Self Defense, and Personal Fitness. We provide a fun, dynamic, and safe learning environment.

The Ontario College of Teachers licenses, governs and regulates the Ontario teaching profession in the public interest. Teachers who work in publicly funded schools in Ontario must be certified to teach in the province and be members of the College. The College is accountable to the public for how it carries out its responsibilities.

The Speech Associates is a multi-disciplinary practice offering a range of speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, autism and behaviour therapy services forchildren and adults. This glass art gallery, studio and learning center is located at 2940 Comox Rd. in the architectural wonder of a house with the timber frame fence - a work in progress! The owner, Jan Lindstrom has been creating and teaching glass work since 1980 and is still captivated by this extraordinary art form.

We emphasize the quality of the learning environment and foster artistic growth among all our students, who range in age from young children to senior citizens. Instruments taught include violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, guitar and electric bass. We encourage our students to take advantage of enriching opportunities such as rehearsing with a professional accompanist, or playing with small ensembles or orchestra. We offer a fun and creative approach to theory in private lessons or small groups. We also encourage the implementation of music technology. The core of our instruction is classical by nature, but we also include jazz and improvisation.
