Belmont Golf Course has thrice hosted the Canadian Tour's Spring Qualifying School. There's a reason the event has returned to this Les Furber, GDS designed golf course - it's one of the best in the Lower Mainland. The full length championship course, which opened in 1992, features six par threes and four sets of tees, making it perfect for golfers of all skill and experience levels. As evidenced by the Canadian Tour's Spring Qualifying School use, Belmont is a popular British Columbia golf course for tournaments. Belmont was selected to host the Canadian Tour's Spring Qualifying School from 2005 to 2007. The 2005 medalist was Will Yanagisawa. In 2006 Chang Hong from Korea was the medalist by a record-breaking 10 strokes. In 2007 seven Canadians were among the 16 players to earn cards Friday as the Canadian Tour's Spring Qualifying School wrapped up in B.C.

Much of that wilderness forest still surrounds our golf course, providing a retreat from the noise and hectic pace of city life. You can leave downtown Vancouver and be here in 15 minutes, but when you step onto the first tee, you'll feel as if you're miles away. With a beautiful clubhouse that overlooks the forested fairways and practice areas, Seymour provides North Shore and Lower Mainland groups with catering for special events such as tournaments, meetings, and weddings. Seymour is also open for public dining on Mondays, so our neighbours may come in and enjoy a taste of what membership provides.

Designing this golf course within this type of landscape was truly inspiring. The variety of golf holes that play through these boulders and trees or utilize the elevations provided by the granite ridges is second to none. It was easy to find fabulous green sites framed by trees and granite without altering the terrain. A number of tee decks are perched on the top of these granite ridges, providing long-range vistas over forest, without a road to be seen or heard… it was beyond compare.
