Winnipeg, 1992. Green Apple was born. Firstly named Red Apple after the discount store across the street from a local skate spot, Red Apple quickly transformed into Green Apple due to a rival skate gang under the same name. At the end of each summer in the early 90?s, local skateboarder Roan Barrion would make skateboard video's that would showcase Winnipeg's best skateboarders using the Green Apple name. It would later bloom into something more than local, thanks to the creative minds of Ryan McGuigan and Mike McDermott. The saga continues

They were the centre for spiritual, commercial, social, and political life. It was the place where decisions and judgments were made, where destinies were shaped, and people's lives changed. Our prophetic mandate is to be a gateway that releases the flood of God's abundance on the earth.

283 Portage Avenue The Sterling Window Lofts are located at 283 Portage Avenue in downtown Winnipeg. The eight levels above the first floor commercial space of the century-old Sterling Building were once offices and have now been beautifully transformed into a residential complex geared towards young professionals. The building is now host to 64 suites which are a combination of studio and one bedroom units. These "Micro-Apartments" which are the fastest growing trend in urban centers around the world, though compact, are filled with light from the large windows.
