Bowen Therapy a simple yet efficient and effective hands-on therapy used to treat acute and chronic pain in the body. The practitioner uses thumbs and fingers on precise points of the body to perform Bowen’s unique sets of rolling-type moves which stimulate the muscles and soft tissue of the body. A unique feature of Bowen Therapy are the pauses used in between a set of movements. It is believed that Bowen supports the body in resetting itself allowing for repair and rebalance. Clients report the experience of pain relief, improvement of function and recovery of energy.
Our approach is centred upon a thorough biomechanically based analysis of the problem area and how this links with your overall body movement pattern. By identifying key elements of movement dysfunction we can then outline a treatment plan that is specifically tailored to your needs. We work in a team approach, consulting regularly with our referring physicians and other health practitioners in order to foster a team approach to care of your musculoskeletal condition.
