The main purpose of our Nursery School is to provide a safe, friendly atmosphere where children, aged 3-5 years, learn through play and through their own sense of wonder. Our goal is to provide materials, toys and activities that arouse children's curiosity, stimulate their creativity and build confidence and independence.Our program is designed to meet the needs of the whole child. We focus on the children's physical, social, creative, intellectual and emotional development. Your child will be offered on a daily basis: free play, creative art, storytelling, songs and music/gross motor activities. Your child will be encouraged to participate in both the structured and unstructured activities.We are fortunate to have the use of the elementary school gym, playground and music room. This allows us the opportunity to provide activities that require greater space and energy. It also helps children to familiarize themselves with school culture.Each week activities and circle time will focus around an established theme.

Alice McEwan-MorrisFounder and principle strategist Alice McEwan-Morris is a Social Worker with 30 years of case management and supervisory experience in the area of child and family services in Manitoba. She has conducted individual, family and parental assessments, abuse investigations, case-specific and program reviews, internal staff and organization reviews, child death reviews and research into conditions effecting children in care in Manitob,a primarily youth who are aging out of the child and family services system. She has authored three reports for the Office of the Children's Advocate:'' Strengthening our Youth : Their Journey to Competence and Independence'' 2006'' Progress Report on the Recommendations from the Strengthening our Youth report'' 2012. Since 2006, Alice has been an Instructor with the Manitoba Competency-Based In-Service training program, which provides foundational knowledge and skill development to child and family service caseworkers. She is also a facilitator in cultural education with the Diversity and Intercultural Training program.
