Visited this little farm and attached Dunham Froese winery while in Osoyoos last week. Missed the turn off the first time, but glad we turned around to check it out. The staff and service were great. Tried some of the baked goods – muffins and cookies – and they were fresh and tasty! The lunch menu looked awesome as well, but we didn’t have time to stay, so we’ll definitely be checking it out next year. The produce selection was unique…and fabulous. You must try the yellow-flesh watermelon if you get a chance, it’s so yummy! The cucumbers and tomatoes were delicious as well.
The winery that is part of the farm was a wonderful find! Dunham Froese is definitely worth a try if you’re doing the wine route in the area! They have both a fabulous white and a red! We all walked away with several bottles to drink now and some for the cellar!
Check this little gem out for sure, for both lunch, produce and wine!Read more
The CFPU, established in 1941 with only four members, was the last such unit formed by the Allied armies. Having grown to 59 cameramen by the time it was disbanded in 1946, unit members were the first in scooping the world on the major events in Europe: the invasion of Sicily; the D-Day invasion -- the top story of the century; the liberation of Paris; the Elbe River linkup of the Allied armies; the first feature documentary shot while under fire; and the only footage shot of action leading to a Victoria Cross.
Family-owned and operated, CF Fence manufactures premium fencing and farm and ranch related products. Based out of the Southern Okanagan in Oliver, British Columbia, Canada, CF Fence began in a barn in December, 2001. When Proprietor, Alan Cossentine discovered gate openings on his property were not standard sizes, necessity became the mother of invention.
Because he wanted to upgrade the gates from old heavy wooden ones to new, lighter weight, easier-to-open pipe gates, he either had to rebuild the openings to accommodate standard gate sizes or make his own custom gates.
Alan and a friend started building gates and panels and CF Fence was born. Later when Alan discovered that the large square bales he had for his cattle wouldn’t fit into his feeders, he built a rectangular bale feeder to fit the bill. As word spread to farmers and ranchers that there was a place to get custom gates and panels, orders started coming in.
