It's a family run restauant and the owner Roberto used to live in Naples, Italy. It is one of the best italian restaurants that you can find in Toronto.
There are some restaurants in Italy that aren't as good as Roberto's is.
It isn't extremely elegant but it has a good menu for a modest price. When I want to eat authentic Italian cuisine, and not spend a fortune, I go to Roberto's.

I just want to take this opportunity to thank you and the staff at Mastro Roberto for a SPECTAULAR celebration lunch my twins Confirmation yesterday.
The food was DELISH, especially the pizza, pasta and seafood - you and the servers were very accommodating. Our party of 20 was looked after even though the restaurant was very busy with Mothers Day patrons. We thank you for that.
I will definitely not hesitate to recommend Mastro Roberto as well as look forward to eating there again.

I love this place!! I go with my friends all the time and wow is it amazing! The food, staff and atmosphere is grrrreeeeaaaatttt!!!!!!! We have an awesome time when we go. Wow! what a great spot on King Street. Owner Tony Loschiavo has done it again. Newly opened Paese on King Street delivers. With a beautiful upscale atmosphere, fun and not pretentious, he is going to give the others on this King St West strip a run!
Excellent food, great friendly genuine service.
