Abundant Life Baptist Church started in 1989 as a small prayer group under the guidance of Pastor Erwin Kelbert. On February 18, 1990 we had our first meeting as a body of believers in the Joseph Teres School with 15 in attendance. After a major telephone blitz, the official opening service was held at the school with 140 attending. The church continued to meet weekly at the school until January 1994, when we moved to our present location.

Established in Canada in1947, McConnell Irish Dance is Manitoba's largest and most successful Irish dance school with classes for Recreational, Competitive, and Performance Irish dance. Family owned and operated, the school has taught thousands of students through three generations of Irish Dance excellence and tradition. McConnell School of Dance is a member of Cumann Rince Náisiúnta (CRN), based in Dublin, Ireland and their World class level dancers compete across North America and at the CRN World Open Irish Dance Championships in Ireland. McConnell Irish dancers host both of Manitoba's only Irish Dance Competitions, Canada Feile and the Canadian Open Championship, a three adjudicator championship and CRN Nationals Qualifier. Diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1993, he realized that there was little, if any, high caliber research being done for the disease. The Foundation's mission was to support research into the cause, cure, and prevention of prostate cancer.The Foundation worked tirelessly with professionals and organizations to advance the prostate cancer cause. A 1997 National Prostate Cancer Forum brought together 150 stakeholders to develop direction for future research, communication, and advocacy activities. The Foundation continued to move forward on forum recommendations by participating in the Prostate Cancer Alliance of Canada.In July 1999, the Foundation merged with the Canadian Prostate Cancer Research Fund, to become the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation of Canada.
