A hidden gem. No need to go to Toronto for the elegance and fine dining. Just terrific! The food presentation was great and the aromas and taste were "WOW"......very pleasing to the pallette. It's a family run restauant and the owner Roberto used to live in Naples, Italy. It is one of the best italian restaurants that you can find in Toronto.
There are some restaurants in Italy that aren't as good as Roberto's is.
It isn't extremely elegant but it has a good menu for a modest price. When I want to eat authentic Italian cuisine, and not spend a fortune, I go to Roberto's.

Food was reasonably good, but nothing to rave about or complain about either. Portion sizes were a little large. We were on the patio which was fine, but the chairs were back-breakingingly awful and the patio and tables sort of gave the impression that things weren't all that clean. Wait staff was reasonably attentive but not overly friendly. The overall impression was one of a cramped, crowded space both inside and on the patio -too bad they couldn't expand their space.

My husband,daughter and son-in-law and my-self were there on Thursday July 20th in the evening, service was very good prompt and courteous. The food ordered by all four of was very good not one complaint from the table. For Italian food we would go back, it was hot, tasty and well presented.

My 5 star rating is for the food and service. Romero's isn't a fancy place but the food is delicious Authentic Italian made from scratch. Great value for a delicious meal. The service is excellent too. You may need to request your red wine be chilled for a few minutes. It was a warmer than ideal temp.
