For 45 years, we have been Pacific Canada's premier link to maritime history, art, culture, industry and technology. We do our job best when visitors of all ages have fun while learning. And we believe in making stories come alive through using artifacts - the real thing not, make-believe set. We are a favourite with children and with their parents and grandparents. We are a popular destination for both local and residents and tourists. Each year, more than 100,000 people visit the Vancouver Maritime Museum. Most of our visitors are families from the Lower mainland. During the months of May to October, the Maritime Museum is a popular destination for tourists curious about the maritime history of Canada. In addition, thousands of students participate in guided education programs and we are a popular destination for community groups.
