Brookside Auto Body was started by Tony & Margarida Cabral in the early '80's, on what was originally Brookside Blvd. Tony started working as an auto body technician when he immigrated to Canada in early '70's. After several years, Tony was determined to realize his dream of owning his own business. Since its inception the business it has grown in physical space with an additional 4500 sq. ft. and a new state of the art commercial size paint booth. Now in it's second generation the business continues to grow under the leadership of Tony's son, Gilbert Cabral.

In The Egeginning Duha Printers (Western) Limited began in the 1940s in Winnipeg as a commercial print shop. THE DYE HOUSEThe Dye House was established in 1990 with a vision to provide the garment industry access to high quality garment dyeing services.Our goal was to offer an unlimited choice of colors and finishes in a timely and cost effective manner. By staying true to our dream, we have become the largest custom garment dyeing facility in Western Canada.We occupy a 14,000 sq. ft. plant located right smack in the middle of Canad,a close to the Winnipeg International Airport. See map below.We have a skilled and experienced work force, many of whom have been with us since conception. Owners are always on premises and involved in all aspects of the business from sales and production to quality control and product development. Our 'hands-on' approach allows us to react quickly to our customers' needs and to maintain a high quality product that we - and our customers - can be proud of.We currently operate a variety of dye machines ranging in size from 100# to 800# each. Our current weekly capacity is approximately 50,000#, but could be increased up to 100,000# a week at this location

Keep in Touch...About ContessaContessa Furniture, a family owned and operated business, was opened in 1973 by Bart Mandarano. He had asked one of his brothers, Mike, to postpone his venture as a tailor, and to come and work with him for a short period of time. Mike had already made plans to pursue his career in the US and start his own tailor business. 37 years later, Mike and Bart are still working together, side by side, committed to selling fine furniture to customers.Through the years, many family members have joined the business but eventually moved on to pursue different careers. Mike's eldest son, Richard aka Riccardo, has been involved in the business since he was young. In 1995, he became a shareholder/partner with Contess,a and has been committed to the business to this very day.Contessa has had a few different homes during these years. The first location was downtown on Princess Street catering to traditional, French provincial and Barocco styles. These styles featured upholstery, dining and bedroom sets with hand crafted and carved frames.In the mid 80's, Contessa moved to Notre Dame Avenue.
