Urban Rec Leagues are all about being active, being social and having fun. At Urban Rec we stress the FUN and social aspect of playing sports with your friends. It really is all about getting out and being active, meeting some people and generally having a good time. Urban Rec also offers a comprehensive calendar of social events and activities ranging from Wine Tastings, Martini Tours, Monthly Dinner Clubs, Ski Trips, Corporate events and Charity Events. We are involved with such events as the 24 Hour Relay for the Kids, The Underwear Affair, Bowl for Big Brothers, Mitsubishi City Chase and the CIBC Run for the Cure
The men's club is open to any men interested in joining. Our membership is open to the public. There is also a companion Ladies Club for interested women. Our members are both working and retired and come from all over Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Our membership is a mixture of young and middle age adults, seniors and retirees. Our weekend events are designed so that everyone can compete, have fun and enjoy the camaraderie. Unlike the private and semi-private golf clubs, there is no huge golf course membership fee.
