The Riverside Cemetery Conservancy is reclaiming the nineteenth century notion of a garden-like cemetery serving as a public park by not only working to preserve this serene green space and cultural landmark, but also offering to our visitors a deep connection to the past and to our community through special event, educational, and service opportunities.Riverside CemeteryWelcomeRiverside Cemetery was established in 1887 as a private cemetery located above the Ocmulgee River and has operated as a not-for-profit entity since the 1940's. The cemetery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the final resting place for more than 18,000 people representing many ages, faiths, races, and national creeds. Civil War veterans from the Union and the Confederacy are interred here on our 125-acre, meticulously landscaped property. Historically significant and beautifully maintained in all seasons, the cemetery continues to develop new sections, making it the perfect choice as a final resting place for families and individuals.Take Your Place in HistoryGenerations of families have selected Riverside Cemetery as the place of perpetual rest and memorialization for their loved ones.
After finishing high school in 1991, I took my MBA at CBU in Cape Breton. After a couple years of working in construction, I wanted changes in my path, so I took carpentry at Marconi campus and received the outstanding student award and finished with honours in 1997-98. Right out of school, I started Excel Exterior and never looked back. We have done over 1500 roofing and construction projects since our start in 2007 and over 400 provincial grants. I received my Red Seal in carpentry from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners.
