With over 15,000 multi-family units to its credit, from wood frame town home and apartment projects to concrete high-rises and a host of industrial, retail, health care, office and institutional projects, Van Maren has gained a broad knowledge of the design, construction and development process. In 2002 Eric and Bernie Van Maren decided to end their involvement in the construction business and concentrate their energies on their financing and development business. Art Van Maren stayed in the construction business and re-launched the company as VanMar Constructors Inc. Since 2002 VanMar has completed a host of projects including 8 health care campuses which include assisted living, independent living, complex care, dementia units, adult day care, child day care and walk in clinics. Also completed are 7 apartments and townhouse projects, 4 student housing projects, a waste transfer station, a convention lodge and 2 commercial projects.
