That's Truck'n Repairs Inc. was established in Langley in 2014, after spending 28 years in the transport industry from licensed mechanic to owner operator. I have come to realize that a lot of shops do not realize the urgency of getting your equipment up and running in a timely fashion. We pride ourselves on this knowledge and use it to our advantage along with our fair shop rate. We specialize in trailers, but at the same time we do minor truck repairs too. We boast a 10,000 square foot heated and secure shop, staff that will not say good enough, they do the job right the first time. We believe in treating all of our customers equally whether they have one or fifty pieces of equipment. We welcome out-of-town drivers whose trailers will be in the shop over night to park on site for the night and take advantage of our free Wi-Fi. We may be the new kids on the block but we are well aged to the industry. Try us once and you will be a returning customer for years to come.

Many people wander through life feeling stunted, as if they are biding time rather than truly living each moment. Above all, the most common complaint we hear from our clients is that they feel stuck. Stuck in anger, frustration, stress, grief or sadness, in fear, depression or anxiety. Some are stuck in unhealthy relationships or unhealthy patterns of relating to others. For some the feeling of being stuck is new and uncomfortable, for others it has been a lifetime. This can be the result of our life experiences, our past hurts, and the pressure of day to day stressors, leaving a sense of dissatisfaction, irritability, difficulty in relationships and the feeling of being out of control.

On February 25, 1985 the incorporation and first meeting of the United Way of the Fraser Valley took place. Under the guidance of Walter Paetkau, UWFV made total contributions of $22,769 to 11 member agencies and 32 other programs in its first year. Since then, we have evolved into a strong community presence. In 2009, our workplace campaign goal was $700,000. We achieved over $717,000, the fourth consecutive year of growth. The success of our 2009 campaign will assist us in direct funding of 27 Member Agencies and nine programs, plus allow us to continue to provide administrative or other supports for our initiatives. Over the last 25 years we have raised and put to work in our community over $10 million. Since 2005, the United Way of the Fraser Valley has been working with both member and non-member agencies across the Fraser Valley to provide programs and services that are addressing the community-identified priorities: poverty reduction, homelessness and affordable housing, and ensuring children ages 0 to 6 succeed. UWFV still continues to fund our core mandate - Essential Social Services, programs Canadians refer to as our social safety net. Providing more than a financial support, the United Way of the Fraser Valley is a collaborative partner and invests time, influence and knowledge where it is needed. The primary goal is to mobilize the community's resources to create lasting and meaningful change. A leader in collaborative community building, the United Way of the Fraser Valley has created many unique relationships and partnerships; Success by Six, Fraser Valley Housing Network, Vibrant Abbotsford and Emergency Transportation Assistance Program are just a few examples.
