Bridge Terminal Transport began operations in 1982 in Newark, New Jersey. The company realized immediate success and expanded with Terminals in Baltimore and Charleston one year later|In 1984, the growth continued to include three West Coast Terminals and the national market coverage was complete which included the attainment of 48 state operating authorities.
