Born and raised in the countryside of beautiful Quebec City, I early developed an interest in creating things. Though originally trained as a Graphic Designer, I developed a love of photography when I first worked in a portrait studio as a summer job. I have now been involved in the photography industry for more than a decade.I moved to Calgary in 2007 to experience life in Alberta. I was excited to discover a city with growing business and a close proximity to amazing mountain terrain. I have always been passionate about outdoor activities and I quickly felt a connection here.
I hired Bob McKerrell to do my headshots and he did a fabulous job. I'm impressed with the quality of his work. He did a great job touching up the photos and he was very professional and easy to work with.Read more

Hi there! I'm Virginia Booth, owner/photographer of Hot Shoe Photography. A little about me....I'm a formally trained photographer. I graduated with honors from The Western Academy of Photography in 1999. The age of film and all its glory! I describe my style as a blend of spontaneous, classic, and documentary. The best way to capture the true essence of a wedding day or family session is for me to observe and use my instincts to capture a 'moment'. Like I'm on a safari. Waiting for just the right moment to freeze-frame my subject. It's important for me to step back and just let the festivities happen. The best candid, non posed moments are taken that way. I've had nearly 15 years of experience to hone my skills in this area.
