The first Candy Shoppe was opened in the spring of 1999 in the little strip mall just north of Webers Hamburgers ( and beside Tim Hortons) on hwy 11 just north of the town of Orillia, Ontario, Canada. It was a very small, narrow store space with no storage areas, so within the first 5 years, we got very tight and crowded and decided to lease an empty building almost directly across from the first store and on the southbound Hwy 11 lanes.
The Book Re-View was opened on November 1, 1991.It is hard to believe how things have changed since the beginning. when had little stock, fewer bookshelves, and a whole lot more space. The books sat face out on the shelf and could be easily browsed with a glance. We want our customers to have an excellent shopping experience. It is our hope to continue the warmth and laughter and a very pleasurable time for all.
