Ganjineh Rug Gallery was founded by company president Farajolah Djamzad Ph. D. on November 2012 in the beautiful city of Vancouver. Despite the company's short history in Canada, its president has established strong roots and gained expertise in the Persian carpet business for over 25 years.?His journey began in 1987 following the completion of his Post Doctorate Degree in Tokyo from the prestigious Keio University in International Marketing. He established FMJ Company Ltd and later the Carpet Musee Gallery (http://www.carpet-musee.com) in the heart of downtown Tokyo in order to pursue for the arts and the craftsmanship that create one of a kind Persian carpets. FMJ Company Ltd continues to successfully operate and provide wholesale and retail Persian carpets in Tokyo today.?Over the last 25 years, our president has traveled to Iran numerous times to personally hand select unique Persian carpets of superb quality for his clients. In establishing Ganjineh Rug Gallery, he along with his staff aspire to provide the best and finest carpets to art loving clients including interior designers and realtors, with a reasonable price.
For six weeks from March to May, over five thousand Victoria-area performers and students of music, dance and dramatic arts are on stages throughout the city receiving adjudications from renowned experts in the arts. Performances in Brass, Classical Guitar, Choral, Composition, Dance (School and Studio), Ethnic Performance, Fiddle, Musical Theatre, Piano, School Bands, School Orchestras, Speech and Dramatic Arts, Strings, Voice and Woodwinds by talented youngsters and adults take place daily throughout Festival. Our Honours concerts showcase the amazing talent. Dozens of significant awards and trophies are presented including the Rose Bowl (Classical Voice), the City of Victoria Medallion Tray (Piano), and the Roberto and Mary Wood Scholarship, the largest of its type in Canada
