Arcane Horizon Inc is a not for profit organization incorporated on July 19,1995 to support two men to live in their own home in the community. The agency was formed when the parents of these two men determined they could develop a more suitable support model for their sons. These parents with the assistance of Family Services, Association for Community Living and Prairie Places Inc. founded the agency.The agency is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors predominantly comprised of family members of individuals we support. The agency was founded on the Gentle Teaching Philosophy - this means that our first task is to build a bridge of companionship between those whom we serve and their support network. We build on our belief that all people have a deep longing to feel at home with others, and are called to come together in a spirit of companionship and community.This approach to care giving is based on a psychology of human interdependence that sees all change as mutual and as bringing or deepening feelings of companionship and community.

In 1840, a charter was issued by Queen Victoria to create a Unit in Montreal however, it is believed that other Units may have existed well before that time; perhaps as early as the Conquest of New France in the 1700's. The Association derives its name from the remnants of British and French colonial regiments which were left in Canada when their regiments returned to Britain or France following their tours of overseas duty, protecting their respective colonies. These men gathered to exchange information on service benefits that might be available and to fraternize in a social environment. The Association was known as 'THE ARMY VETERANS IN CANADA'. Following the War of 1812, sailors from the British Navy who patrolled the Great Lakes and the eastern seaboard who remained in Canada joined the Army Veterans club and the Association's title then changed to 'THE ARMY AND NAVY VETERANS IN CANADA'

The North End Community Renewal Corporation (NECRC) was founded in 1998 by a coalition of Winnipeg organizations who were concerned about some of the trends in the north end of Winnipeg and who were aware of the good results that community development corporations in other parts of North American were achieving in revitalizing inner city communities. The NECRC was established to serve the community within the geographic area north of the CP tracks, south of Carruthers Ave., east of McPhillips Street and west of the Red River.The mandate of the corporation is to promote the social, economic and cultural renewal of the north end of Winnipeg. It does this by improving the quality and accessibility of housing, creating jobs, upgrading commercial and industrial areas, implementing employment development programs, improving the overall image of the community, and reducing crime in the community. The corporation provides co-ordination activities and a strategic focus for many of the community improvement activities taking place in the north end.NECRC is committed to the social, economic and cultural renewal of the North End of Winnipeg.NECRC defines its development goals through annual consultations and ongoing networking with North End residents and businesses

Luther Village is owned by the Manitoba Northwestern Ontairo Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church In Canada.Our ten cabins, lodge and chalet, range from rustic log to newer luxury, can house families, individuals or groups from as few as one or two up to 20 (total beds – 96). The log dining hall seats up to 90 people comfortably. Our large chapel and Wolf's Ridge - multipurpose youth games room - are available for a variety of uses and set ups. There are two campgrounds with hook-ups for water, electricity and sewer in the main campground sites.Fellowship and community are two common words adults and youth alike believe of Luther Village. Our summer programs available for families, adults and youth campers encourage individuals in their lives while playing at the waterfront, hiking, fire building, learning new skills in the archery range, singing at campfires, joining with others at our nightly campfires and worshiping together under the majestic pines.

We can manufacture parts and components for almost any industry or purpose. Our material processing capabilities include aluminum, mild and stainless steel (sheets and plates), galvanized and pre-painted steel sheets, angle iron, flat and round bars, pipe and tubing, channels and light structural steel. Pritchard Machine has a full range of precision equipment for both in-plant and onsite services, including: milling machines, turning equipment, balancers, grinders, presses, and welding equipment. We are COR certified and our onsite service personnel are trained to meet even the most stringent safety standards. We can manufacture parts and components for almost any industry or purpose.
