My move within Thornhill was excellent. I did not have a great deal of furniture but had quite a few boxes as I am an avid reader! The delivery was a bit of a slog for the guys as it was a walk up and had a couple flights of stairs, but they just marched up and down and the time they took was amazingly short! The merger came out of complementary ideologies as well as practical advantages: it seemed an ideal marriage because of the flexibility of venues that the new company would offer, not to mention the increased human and financial resources available to each. For the 1987-1988 season, two separate programs were mounted under the banner Toronto Free Theatre/CentreStage Company.
