My wife and I used to love strolling the city and ending up at the Irish Heather for a pint (or three) and some fantastic authentic pub fare. This was in their original location. Then, we had a family and it took us a while to get back but we finally got back to check out their new digs and new menu. While the beer selection is still fantastic we were disappointed in the overall vibe. The food was still good but the value took a bit of a hit from their original location. While it was a great experience overall we still miss the original.Read more
My roommate and I recently went into Lush to browse and the customer service we received was fantastic. When we showed interest in the bubble bars and bath bombs, an employee immediately demoed them. She discussed our product needs with us and showed us several options around the store--in many cases, she explained exactly how to use them to get the best benefit out of the product. This fantastic service was a welcomed experience and has won my loyalty. Plus, they have plenty of vegan-friendly products for us conscientious consumers! :)Read more
Salt is a tasting room specializing in artisanal cheese, small-batch cured meats, and a dynamic array of wines, beers and sherries. Guests assemble a Tasting Plate from our chalkboard's selection of 10 cheeses, 10 meats, and 10 condiments. The wine list is dynamic and constantly evolving. Global in nature, one can always expect a sampling of vinous delights from our own backyard, or your favourite wine regions the world-over. The selections change constantly, making it almost impossible to have the same Salt experience twice.
You have to remember when going here that this is a wine tasting room, not a place to have dinner. The wine list is imaginative and approachable. The service on a good night is excellent, on a bad night is so-so, but the staff have always been very helpful with the wine choices, pairings, and flight recommendations.
