His father, Victor, began as a travelling salesman selling Fine Art and Carpets throughout North America. Before long a Bender family business was born. The evolution of the flooring and decorating business resulted in Bender establishing itself in the distribution and retail of broadloom, modular carpet, and in recent years, the addition of laminate, hardwood, vinyl, and linoleum products. As well, wall and window coverings and furniture and furnishings became part of the business.
