Born and raised in Bracebridge, it was only natural that Dr. David Cox would return to his hometown upon graduation from the University of Waterloo in 1984. He purchased the optometry practice from his great-uncle, Dr. Philip Thomas, who had established it in 1935. From the antique eyeglass display in the foyer, you can tell this long-standing history is as important to Dr. Cox as it is to the many patients who trust one of their most valued senses to his and his colleagues care. Over the years, Dr. Cox's practice continued to expand, requiring the addition of Dr. Tracy Stager in 1996 and Dr. Dina Witko in 2008 to help with the growing number of patients. In addition to his practice in Bracebridge, Dr. Cox has cultivated loyal patients in Both Gravenhurst and Huntsville, who now regularly travel the extra distance to see him.
