The Stouffville Skating Club is a non-profit, community based organization that has offered skating instruction in the Town of Stouffville since 1951. We are governed entirely by a dedicated group of volunteers and are Skate Canada sanctioned and certified. A growing club, we now have over 450 skaters in our programs. Our Club is committed to providing an environment of fun, instruction and support with the highest standards of sound leadership, professionalism and good sportsmanship to skaters of all abilities.
Emerald Ash Borer in GeorginaThe Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is a highly invasive insect that attacks, feeds on, and kills all species of healthy ash trees. EAB was first sighted in York Region in 2008, and is now found throughout the Region and much of southern Ontario. Over the next three to five years the Towns Parks & Facilities Division will be removing infested trees. Additional trees of a different species will be planted throughout Georgina, under the Georgina Tree Planting Program, during usual planting seasons in the fall and spring. With an approved CIP, the Town of Georgina can now establish grant or loan programs in order to encourage private sector investment in development efforts that seek to improve and revitalize the community
Douro-Dummer is situated five minutes east of the City of Peterborough, in Peterborough County.
