The Auberge des Marronniers has been set up since 2004 in the pretty village of St-Ulric, a few miles from Matane in Gaspsia. The centennial building takes place on a 2.5 acre lot on the main street of the village, close to services and facing the river which offers a few miles of sandy beach welcoming for walking. Four rooms, with private or shared bathroom, and 1 Suite can accommodate from 2 to 4 people in an affordable country setting. A quality breakfast, served around 8 am, is offered free of charge. You can also access to a kitchenette to accommodate lunch time if needed. Your host, Monique Belley, is from Saguenay Lac-St-Jean. She lived in Ottawa's area from 2000 to 2003 before choosing the shores of the river to settle. Its motto is to offer guests what they would like for themselves, that is to say comfort, calm, intimacy and an inspiring setting.
