EUTC is a Winnipeg-based service organization in operation since 2005. We are mandated by the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs to serve as a social service organization addressing transitional issues of First Nation citizens. Centrally located in Winnipeg's downtown, the EUTC assists more that 1700 individuals and families in the areas of housing, addictions, referrals, counseling, advocacy and other enhanced services. The influx of clients and the broad array of transitional issues indicate the growing demand and need for culturally relevant services by and for First Nation citizens. The EUTC serves as a hub of information and central location for clients seeking transitional support while living in and/or relocating to Winnipeg. The EUTC maintains an up-to-date inventory of resources, programs and services available to assist First Nation clients with day-to-day issues including housing, social assistance, addictions, resources for youth and services/programs in the areas of training/employment and education.
I was educated at the University of Manitoba and spent eleven years earning three degrees. I learned a lot about human behavior, but over the years my clients have taught me a whole lot more. Being a spouse or partner and a mom has also been extremely educational and I feel blessed to continue learning and growing. For well over twenty years I have been a practicing Professional Counsellor or Therapist and I believe a few core things to be true. First, we all make mistakes some of which bring along many years of fall-out or implication. Second, we all need a sense of belonging, meaning and purpose. Third, happiness is a journey, not a goal or a destination. And forth, no one is more important than you are, although other people are also important (just not more important than you are). When we forgive ourselves for being imperfect and make good choices that give us the opportunity to have our basic needs met, we make it possible to experience peace and times of happiness.

Areas of specialization include addictions, abuse and trauma, emotion management and relationships. Forensic Psychological Services provides assessment, treatment, consultation and training in areas related to the application of clinical services in legal systems and to individuals who have come in contact with the law and/or demonstrate problematic behaviours that have the potential to bring them in conflict with the law.
