Kent Raceway Society is a non-profit society dedicated to supporting and furthering the sport of stock car racing. We relay on our wonderful volunteers to keep the raceway operating. We have been at our current location since the 1971 racing season. The track was originally constructed for the fun and enjoyment of racers and spectators. The first three years of racing were run, if and when, cars were available and if the weather cooperated. the track was a very rough one quarter mile oval, with no banking, no guard rails and very little spectator seating.

The Wilp Wilxo'oskwhl Nisga'a Institute is a community driven, student focused aboriginal post-secondary institute located in the picturesque Nass Valley of Northern BC. It is the university-college in the Nass Valley. The WWNI incorporated in 1993 in an initiative from the Nisga'a Tribal Council (now referred to as Nisga'a Lisims Government) to provide quality post-secondary education and training to people within the Nisga'a community, and to ensure the survival of Nisga'a language and culture. The WWNI is a non-profit organization incorporated under the Society Act of British Columbia. The WWNI Board of Directors is made up of one representative from each of the four villages in the Nass Valley and a Chair elected at large to represent the Nisga'a Lisims Government. The WWNI is affiliated with the University of Northern British Columbia, Northwest Community College, and Royal Roads University for the delivery and accreditation of its courses and programs.
Our district is unique in that it's small and students are members of one language and cultural group – the Nisga'a Nation. From the Nass Valley it is an easy drive to a ski hill, numerous hotsprings, many worldclass fishing spots and Terrace, a regional centre that includes many amenities. Ross Demers owner and operator of Demers Collision grew up in Prince Rupert. Ross took shop class for the first time in high school, and shortly after started to fix and rebuild vehicles as a hobby on his own time. When he moved to Vancouver he pursued his Red Seal in Autobody Technician and Paint. Ross has worked in well known shops in Vancouver; such as Summer’s Autobody, Korva World Class Collision, and Vieta Import Autobody. Ross has fixed all types of vehicles from dump trucks to Ferraris.
