Slim's Cabins is an angling and wilderness paradise! The main camp is located on the banks of the Churchill River about eight miles above the first hydro dam, built in Saskatchewan in 1929. This wilderness location gives access to miles of waterways originally used by trappers and fur traders of the past. Slim Woods, the founder of the camp, was a trapper himself in the 1930's.
There are close to 40 miles of river to explore before hitting any rapids that are impassable. With all that water out there, the Walleye and Northern Pike fishing is excellent close to the camp.
For over 40 years the Woods family has been welcoming guests to the rugged and tranquil Canadian Shield in North Eastern Saskatchewan.
