Bongo's founder first started working out of his home until moving to a store location in Scarborough, Ontario in 1996 doing cellular repairs and sales. Bongo Wireless was founded in May 2002 with its first location in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Having learned the lessons from Broadway Cycle, Bike Depot was able to quickly establish itself as one of the market leaders north of the city. When we began our beginnings were humble to say the least. Over 20 years later however, both stores have become the established fixtures in the Toronto cycling scene. Broadway Cycle has moved into a new facility with three times the square footage of our original store and Bike Depot went through a major renovation adding a second floor showroom.
