Bruce Carscadden Architect is a design studio based in Vancouver, Canada. In just a decade of practice, our firm has designed and executed numerous building types for a variety of clients. Current work is typically public in nature, with an emphasis on community recreation projects in the Lower Mainland and Interior of British Columbia. Always, we approach our work with the minimum solution as the constraint, seeking to amplify it without excess complication so that the inflection is inherent and empathetic.

The Clinics was founded in 1997 by Dr. Simon Mai, an orthopedic surgeon, and Dr. Nancy Zhu, a physician from China. Iain Cleator was born in Edinburgh, Scotland at the outbreak of WWll, and attended George Watson's College. In 1956 he attended Edinburgh University and graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1962 and went on to specialize in general surgery. In 1972 he came to Canada and joined UBC as a tenure track assistant professor of surgery becoming a full professor in 1986. . In 2005 he was appointed Professor Emeritus of Surgery UBC and is teaching for another 3 years at UBC as Block Chair for the Gastro-Intestinal Problem Oriented Learning in 2nd year medicine and dentistry.

This evening adventure takes us yet to another Malaysian Style restaurant in Tropika. A popular chain with multiple locations in the Greater Vancouver Region including Cambie Village, Downtown, and Richmond Aberdeen Centre. I have tried all 3 locations and by far, I prefer the Cambie Village location.

COAST's entry welcomes guests through a street-side lounge bordered by fire pits. Doubling the former restaurant's capacity, the top level seats 120 and the main level seats 125, including a dramatic 20-foot circular 'Oyster & Chowder Bar'. Beyond, guests will be drawn to a warm and intimate mezzanine featuring a signature 'Boardroom Table' and a private dining space. At the 24-seat 'Oyster & Chowder Bar', Atlantic and Pacific Coast oysters will be shucked along with signature dishes like Dungeness crab cakes, seafood platters, lobsters, chowders and sushi. Landlubbers may select juicy cuts of Triple A Canadian Prime beef. A well balanced wine list features 100 wines stocked full of Pacific Northwest gems.

We believe that a company's core values should define who they are and uphold a standard that must always be met. We have worked hard to develop these to not only write them on paper but allow them to define Coastal Fitness as a whole. These values have allowed this business to thrive in a less than ideal financial market and are something that we feel should be a public symbol of who we are and what we stand for.
