We've been to many 5 star restaurants in downtown Toronto and we would take the Log Cabin over any of them. The chef is a master of Soups and presentation. The specials were varied and tasted exceptionally good . The unique atmosphere of the restaurant is extremely comfortable with classy decor that suits the environment. We were stranded when a small independant motel on Hwy 11 did not work out. Called at 6pm and they had 2 rooms ready for us within 15 minutes. The best value in the area. Well trained staff performed flawlessly. Considering we were 3 cold and wet hunters that had been in the bush for 12 hours we were treated like kings!

We purchased a package deal from Travelzoo for one night accomodation including dinner for two then breakfast for two. Meals and service in the dining room were wonderful although the beef tenderloin which we ordered for dinner was a bit dry and not all that appealing to the eye-just appeared like a thick hunk of meat on a plate. We were in room 303, bed linens definitely need improvement as do pillows which were so soft and mushy as to be non existent. Not Ontario's finest Inns quality.
