Created in the winter of 2000 by owner and President, Mark Myrowich, he thought about ways to lower the labor costs associated with rolled erosion control products (the most expensive contractor expense) through innovative product design and improved quality.Mark started in the erosion control industry as the owner and operator of an erosion control contracting company. The community employs a fulltime Public Works Employee, a fulltime Community Administrative Officer, a certified parttime Water Operator, a Community Constable, a parttime Recreation Director, and a Rink Operator. Volunteer Fire DepartmentWaterhen has its own volunteer Fire Department. Approximately 20 volunteer Fire Fighters are with the department, who do ongoing training twice monthly under the direction of Fire Chief John Mark Taylor.Waterhen currently owns 1 fire truck, and 1 rescue and water tanker truck.
