Preserving house museums is of such great importance in preserving knowledge of how we lived in the past, and in teaching about our heritage and history as Canadians. Its mandate is to collect, preserve, and display artifacts, documents, and photos that relate to the heritage of the Uxbridge Township area which was formed in 1973 with the union of the former townships of Scott and Uxbridge and Uxbridge Town.As well as displaying local heritage, the museum operates an archives. The museum offers a spectacular view of the Uxbridge valley and the town of Uxbridge. Picnic tables are available. There are research facilities also available at the museum, but please contact the museum prior to visiting.
