Based in Kelowna, the Central Okanagan Foundation (COF) is a community foundation; a trusted place where donors go to give and a place that charitable groups go for support in their valuable endeavors. The COF is about empowerment and relevance. We are synonymous with the handing down through generations of the actionable and fulfilling gift of giving. We provide ongoing support to the charitable sector by funding charitable projects that benefit our community. We can only accomplish this with the financial support of our donors. You can help us make a difference! We are registered with the Canada Revenue Agency. As tax-exempt public foundations we are publicly accountable for the funds we manage and can provide tax receipts for gifts received. Contact us today for more information.

Creating a good life for people with disAbilities and special needs is the HEART of what we do!We manufacture smiles!People In Motion is Valley Wide, Locally Funded & Volunteer Driven. The Kelowna & District Society for People in Motion In Operation since 1987Welcome to People In Motion! The Kelowna & District Society for People In Motion (People In Motion) is unique in its scope of practice and programs. We work to develop and enhance the lives and informal supports for people with disAbilities and seniors with special needs recognizing that the social isolation and obstacles inherent to the disability or special needs can prevent or hinder opportunities to engage in healthy active living activities and relationship development.
In 1981, a group of caregivers gathered to discuss the challenges of caring for a person diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Out of their compassion and determination, the Society was ultimately founded. From those humble roots, the Society has blossomed into an organization active in communities across the province.
